The Whiskey-making side of the family, however, goes way back. They owned bars in West Cork between 1640 and 1962, and they were famous for having some of the\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e best Irish Whiskeys available\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e. Alan and Conor Hyde hail from that \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eimpressive lineage\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e and they’re not messing about.\u003cbr\u003e\r\n\u003cbr\u003e\r\n\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHyde #8 Stout Cask Finish Whiskey\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e is a triple-distilled blend of 75% grain and 25% malt Whiskey. The grain one was matured in \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eex-Bourbon casks\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e for four years, while the malt spent the same amount of time in former Oloroso Sherry butt. The blend was then moved for another six months to a cask infused with Stout that came from the \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCotton Ball micro-brewery\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e. This delectable recipe resulted in a Whiskey that teems with notes of coffee and malt.
