Radakrishna Rao Jagdale\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, Amrut Distilleries brought \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003epremium Spirits \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eto India. In addition to their beloved Whisky, they also produce Rum, Vodka, Gin and Brandy. Oh, and Amrut is a Sanskrit word that means \"\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003enectar of life\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\", which is quite close to the Aqua Vitae we're used to. The distillery is mostly known for their \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eOld Port and Amrut XXX Rums\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, but they're bringing one particularly exciting expression to the table this time: the \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTwo Indies Rum\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e.\u003cbr\u003e\r\n\r\n\t \u003cbr\u003e\r\n\r\n\tAs the name itself reveals, it's a story of the two Indies: the \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eEast \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eand the \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWest\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e. The eastern side of the Spirit is the Indian Rum made from \"jaggery\", a concentrated form of \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ecane juice\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, a sort of sugar cane sweetener, normally used in candy production. The western part of the blend comes from three Caribbean countries, namely Jamaica, Barbados and Guyana. Despite the strong influence of the West Indies, \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAmrut Two Indies Rum\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e remains unmistakably Indian in its flavor profile, where you can actually taste the terroir.
