Colombia Carmen Montoya Chiroso

Carmen Montoya, a coffee farmer with 23 years of experience, inherited her passion for coffee and farming from her parents. Beginning with a small plot of an unknown coffee variety, she achieved a major milestone in 2014 by winning the Cup of Excellence with her locally known "chiroso" coffee. Carmen is a trailblazer in cultivating this coffee in her region and has emerged as a community leader. She now assists fellow farmers in enhancing their processes, striving to gain global recognition for Urrao's chiroso coffee, celebrated for its exceptional quality.
